REDWOOD CITY, California—May 9, 2013—Chosen for the Golden Nugget Award of Merit Honors in the Mixed Use category, DES’ prominent 265 Lytton project earns yet another honor, coming on the heels of a Canopy Award and an AIA San Mateo County Design Award for the project.
Awarded for the Mixed Use project category, 265 Lytton seamlessly connects with the surrounding community. The Spanish-style development houses tech companies and four residences in downtown Palo Alto. Due to a complicated site, DES designed an L-shaped configuration for the new three-story building, which wraps the renovated Tinney Building and a signature oak tree, creating a charming courtyard for the lessees. The warm, Mediterranean village-style development is simply a perfect fit in Palo Alto.
DES looks forward to officially receiving the award at the upcoming 50th Annual Gold Nugget Awards Ceremony on June 5th in San Diego.
