REDWOOD CITY, California—October 17, 2013—With a vibrant crowd, DES Architects + Engineers celebrated its 40th year in business on October 16th with over 250 colleagues, friends, and family members at Redwood City’s Courthouse Square.
Attendees commemorated DES’ success and market leadership over the last 40 years while looking forward to DES’ bright future. Stephen Mincey, CEO, and C. Thomas Gilman, President, addressed the crowd to express their gratitude for their support and the broader communities’. They specifically honored founders of DES, Don Mincey and James Wetzel, for their vision and critical work in establishing the company.
Thought leaders from the commercial, science and tech, healthcare, and education sectors were in attendance — showcasing DES’ strength in these markets. Redwood City’s Mayor Alicia Aguirre thanked DES for being an important part of the local economy and contributing to the greater good of the City.
