SAN FRANCISCO, California—December 6, 2012—Over 140 children joyfully crowded into the Boys & Girls Club gym on Guerrero Street in San Francisco to create presents for friends and family at Herman Miller and the Boys & Girls Club’s annual event, We Care.
18 firms brought craft materials for the day’s festivities – giving children the opportunity to make a wide range of presents to gift during holiday season. DES’ contribution, a stocking creation booth, was a huge draw. The DES team donated supplies for over 200 gifts, assisted children as they sewed together the felt stockings and gave out special prizes, which included candy canes, stickers, and holiday themed pencils.
We Care is an annual event sponsored by Herman Miller and the Boys & Girls Clubs of America that brings communities together to create gifts for friends and family. Supported by local Architecture, Engineering and Design firms, the event brings joy to thousands of children nationwide.
