400 Main

Los Altos, California

400 Main, a 31,000-sf, mixed-use building, integrates well with the village character of downtown Los Altos and blends in seamlessly with the small-scale, tree-lined environment. The exterior-siding helps accomplish this with cement plaster, natural stone borders and landscaped trellises, which are accented by copper roof tiles and prominent corner towers. To create an open-feel, the cut-off building corner on First and Main creates a large sidewalk space and invites the public in. A large, central courtyard provides more substantial public open space that is well-protected from the street, giving the public the opportunity to mingle and relax. Designed for maximum flexibility, the retail and office spaces can accommodate single or multiple tenants in the class A office spaces.
