Burlingame Point is a large waterfront corporate campus surrounded on three sides by the San Francisco Bay. To preserve the shoreline, the buildings were sited a minimum of 100 feet from the water to facilitate public trail restoration along the bay. The buildings face east-west with north-side clerestory glass for uninterrupted views of the water and maximized daylight and energy efficiency. Campus connectivity is created by outdoor spaces, an amenities building, and a parking structure. Shaped by wind studies, the project site is sensitive to local micro climates for adjacent recreational activities.
