Skyline College Environmental Science Building

San Bruno, CA

Located on a ridge overlooking the Pacific Ocean, the Environmental Science Building is designed as a multi-use facility for academic programs and community events. The west elevation features large expanses of transparent structural glass, allowing for complete connection to the significant views offered by this location. Taking advantage of this, an open-plan event and gallery space will support student art displays and enterprise functions. A tall, clerestoried corridor is designed to provide connection to two tiered lecture halls,  two classrooms, and the entry. The lecture areas feature large glass windows providing views into the gallery space and to the sea beyond.
