Susan Eschweiler

Susan’s portfolio includes a wide range of clients and project types. She has worked on projects as large and technical as biopharmaceutical campuses to more discrete, branded environments such as tech offices or commercial cafes.  Whether a developer, Fortune 500 company or entrepreneur, Susan’s  clients rely on her design insight as an interior designer, architect and master planner. That multifaceted experience allows her, as Vice President, Executive Principal, and co-leader of the DES Life Sciences team, to shift focus as needed between a project’s critical details and high-level objectives. She is a renowned relationship builder and ardent advocate for her clients, respectful of their time and goals and focused on targeted solutions. 

Susan is a fourth-generation architect, a mentor, and a leader committed to betterment, both within the firm and the communities it serves. A graduate of Cornell University, she maintains close ties with her alma mater and has been a member of the Dean’s Advisory Council for Cornell’s College of Art, Architecture, and Planning.
